"We had a perfect stay in Kyoto at Machia Lily. The owner was very helpful before, during and after our stay. We stayed there for one week and it was a perfect place for our family of 4 persons. Machia Lily is well located near the subway and close to the river were you can exercise or just walk on the walkway at the riverbank to the city center. We can absolutely recommend this place!"

"We were travelling and seeing places in Osaka and Kobe but wanted to stay in Kyoto to take in the sites and local culture. Machiya Lily was perfect for our purpose and was a delight to return after being out all day running around. The people in the neighbourhood are super friendly and helpful and just across the bridge in the same road is the original Nintendo company building from when they first started as Trump Card company. We absolutely recommend Machiya Lily to anyone who wants to see Kyoto and feel real Japanese style without sacrificing modern convenience. When we go back to Kyoto even for a weekend trip we will be staying at Machiya Lily for sure !

Whether you are interested in fine dining, museums, temples or just enjoying the ambience of Kyoto, Machiya Lily is conveniently located to help you enjoy it all. Sanjusangendo, pictured to the right, is a 5 minute walk from Machiya Lily. The National Art Museum is a short 4 minute walk and the Kamo river 150 meters away. We are happy to provide our guests with suggestions for itineraries and to help with reservations and any other arrangements.
